His Majesty the King of Thailand has cultivated a passion for jazz as well as classical music. Not only has He played alongside the top jazz musicians of all time, He has also been awarded honorary membership in The Academy for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna for his contributions to music, alongside such notables as Albert Schweitzer and Yehudi Menuhin.
Several recordings have been made of His Majesty’s music, and are familiar to everyone in the country. CANDLELIGHT BLUES is the very first and internationally acclaimed CD and musical score book of His Majesty the King's music released worldwide by AMI and it's world renown music publishing partner, DOBLINGER of Vienna.
HUCKY, who was dubbed the "Musical Ambassador of His Majesty the King" and the "inde-fatigable champion of His Majesty's music" had the honour to perform these beautiful selections of Royal tunes for His Majesty the King and HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn during a Royal Command performance. He has since toured the world, presenting His Majesty’s compositions to audiences from diverse cultural backgrounds, and has been overwhelmed by the enthusiastic reception. Clearly, there is a universal beauty to H.M. the King’s music that touches any listener. This collection reveals the more playful side of His Majesty’s musical lexicon, bringing an even greater appreciation of His work to the listener.
